A very rare opportunity to acquire a Stunning Waterside property...

The Boat House has been tastefully converted to offer a very high standard of accommodation.   Solid oak has been used for the floors, staircases, kitchen and doors with old style latches which open every room.   Luxury bathrooms have been fitted with Travertine marble and stone basins, whilst the lounge has an exposed ragstone wall and is fitted with a wood burner.

The Boat House was built at around the turn of the 18th century and with the surrounding countrywisde, was part of the larger Leeds Castle estate.  The Beautiful yellow Kentish ragstone used to construct Leeds Castle was quarried from the site which was later flooded to form the Lake.   The Boat House is also constructed from the same yellow Kentish ragstone as are some other local properties.

Although the property was originally used to store boats and other equipment and machinery for use on the Leeds Castle estate.  The property was also used as storage for the old mill and forge that once existed beyond the mill race.   Both the Old Mill and forge and the Boat House saw little use in the last  sixty years and both sadly fell into disrepair.  The Boat House was purchased by its current owners in October 2004 and during 2005 an extensive and tasteful conversion took place to establish this enchanting waterside property.

The Boat House comprises of 2 Double bedrooms (both have their own en-suite facilities).  There is also a separate toilet and shower room located on the ground floor .   The well appointed open plan kitchen flows into the spacious lounge which enjoys unspoilt, fantastic views across the lake.   Outside there are two decking seated areas that are connected by a decked walkway the perfect spot to relax and appreciate the beauty of the Boat House and Lake.
